Below are listed the steps you will have to follow to post your first annotation on a Simbad object :

1. The first thing to do is to go to the page representing the Simbad object you want to annotate. At the bottom you will see a section called "Annotations", where you can see the number of existing annotations, write a new one and report an error.
   
2. Click on the "add an annotation" link and you will get a page where you are asked to register if not already done:
   
3. Click on the "register" link to get the registration popup and fill all the compulsory fields:
   
4. Click on the "Register" button: a popup appears telling you to activate your registration:
   
5. Open the confirmation e-mail and click on the activation link in it.
   If it is a success a page with a confirmation message should appear. Your registration is now completed.
   Note: if after five minutes the confirmation e-mail did not appear in your mail box, check your spam box.
6. Go back to the previous page to add an annotation on the Simbad object.
   You can now click on the "Login" link to make the login popup appear, and enter your usermane and password:
7. Click on the "Login" button: you are now connected and should see the form to add a new annotation on the Simbad object:
   
8. Write your annotation and click on the "Post my annotation" button. The page listing the annotations on the Simbad object will appear and you should see your annotation as shown below:
