Please note that the published final sample of 5288 TRGB stars used in this study (Table 1) appear to be corrupted. It contains about 19% of close high proper motion red dwarfs, as well as some red/yellow SMC/LMC supergiants, and Thermal Pulsing AGB stars. The parallaxes listed in table 1 (column omega) range from 0.449 to 0.046 in table 1, while they range from 71.12 to 0.0006 in Gaia DR3.
