Note that three other studies find the spectral type of G 239-25B to be hotter than the quoted type (L0+-1), and more consistent with ~M8:
1) Bardalez-Gagliuffi+2014(2014ApJ...794..143B) reports a near-IR spectral type of M8.1.
2) Bouy+2022(2022A&A...664A.111B) reports a type of "M7.0 FLD-G".
3) Golimowski+2004(2004AJ....128.1733G) reports that the "NIC2 [NICMOS] magnitudes and colors of G 239–25B are similar to those of the M8 dwarf GJ 752B and the spectroscopically unclassified late-M dwarf GJ 1245C". Indeed the absolute magnitudes for G 239-25B inferred from the GaiaDR3 parallax (plx=91.3567+-0.0908mas) of M_G=15.57, M_J=11.31, M_K=10.13 (adopting the apparent JK mags from Forveille+2004) are very consistent with typical M8 or M8.5 dwarfs.
Forveille+2004 reports JHKs photometry for "A", but simply lists the unresolved 2MASS photometry. The 2MASS JHKs photometry appears to represent the unresolved pair (note the very high chi2 values for the 2MASS PSF fits in 2MASS: Jpsfchi=10.65, Hpsfchi=11.74).
