HD281159 is an eclipsing binary of 1.9340 day period and eccentricity 0.23 and also a likely beta Cepheid of multiple periods (main two roughly 8.6 and 8.2 hours). Primary of visual binary is likely the variable.

Although several catalogues and surveys (mostly NIR ones) list this star system as a candidate YSO and that it does consist of low age hot B stars there is no indication of it having formal YSO phenomena and certainly any erratic variability implying to be so is likely due to sparse and intermittent time series data
