The page for
CD-32 4555
shows these additional identifiers: ALS 856 (https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-5?-out.add=.&-source=5125/%2a&ALS=856), CPD-32 1855 (https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-5?-ref=VIZ65e0ed4d223e4d&-out.add=.&-source=I/108/cpd&recno=103197) and CPD-32 1856 (https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-5?-ref=VIZ65e0ed4f223fbe&-out.add=.&-source=I/108/cpd&recno=103198). Two of these identifiers are mistakenly related to the rest.
First of all, ALS 856 (https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-5?-out.add=.&-source=5125/%2a&ALS=856) refers to
TYC 7123-1582-1
= Gaia DR3 5594445905236383232 (https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-5?-ref=VIZ65e0f5232d0132&-out.add=.&-source=I/355/gaiadr3&-c=118.70421041899%20-32.33228761848,eq=ICRS,rs=2&-out.orig=o). We know this because the coordinates given in the ALS coincide with this star and are 34" away from CD-32 4555 (https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-5?-ref=VIZ65e0f6382e7d93&-out.add=.&-source=I/114/cd&recno=184359) = Gaia DR3 5594445866570935680 (https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-5?-ref=VIZ65e0f6962ef6d1&-out.add=.&-source=I/355/gaiadr3&-c=118.70002878596%20-32.34094613024,eq=ICRS,rs=2&-out.orig=o). We can also check Orsatti 1992 (https://articles.adsabs.harvard.edu/pdf/1992AJ....104..590O), which is the reference for the photometry in the ALS catalogue for this star and look at its position in their figure 7 (in finding chart VI, east is to the right). The star is #179 in Orsatti 1992 (this can be checked because in their tables it is labeled as LS 856, which is the identifier inherited by the ALS).
Secondly, CPD-32 1856 (https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-5?-ref=VIZ65e0ed4f223fbe&-out.add=.&-source=I/108/cpd&recno=103198) is not CPD-32 1855 (https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-5?-ref=VIZ65e0ed4d223e4d&-out.add=.&-source=I/108/cpd&recno=103197), but a brighter star (by ~0.6 mag) 1.4' to the south-east (
TYC 7123-1346-1
= Gaia DR3 5594445630358470912 (https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/viz-bin/VizieR-5?-ref=VIZ65e0f5532d4e43&-out.add=.&-source=I/355/gaiadr3&-c=118.72450921329%20-32.35380337777,eq=ICRS,rs=2&-out.orig=o)). This can be seen in the coordinates of both stars in the CPD catalogue. The good news is that CPD-32 1855 coincides with CD-32 4555.
So,
CPD-32 1856 must be removed
from the list of identifiers of
CD-32 4555
and given to the page of the star
TYC 7123-1346-1
. And
ALS 856 must also be removed
from CD-32 4555 and given to the page of star
TYC 7123-1582-1
.
