I understand NGC 7293 is the Helix Nebula, not just the central star. However, the apparent magnitude shown here seems to be that of the star only (according to the citation), and not the nebula.
This seems to be a problem with most PNs. For example, according to many different sources, the apparent magnitude for the Helix Nebula is about 7.3, very far from the 13.524 shown in this page.
Another example is M 27, the Dumbbell Nebula. It's apparent magnitude is around 7.5 according to many different sources, but on SIMBAD is over 14 - https://simbad.cds.unistra.fr/simbad/sim-basic?submit=SIMBAD+search&Ident=M+27
Both NGC 7293 and M 27 have different sources for their V Flux, so I'm guessing this is a common approach for planetary nebulae? If so, how can we distinguish between the flux(V) of the central star, and the flux(V) of the entire PN? Is this information available on SIMBAD, or should I ignore all flux(V) for all PNs?
