It is a K spectral type T Tauri YSO star that undergoes irregular variablility of the type sometimes referred to in the literature as a "Dipper" in order to distinguish these relatively cool late type dwarfs from the hot early HaeBe (HerbigHaro) YSO variable stars somtimes known as UXORs (UX Orionis Variables) whilst also exhibit fades in their lightcurve due to obscuration events.
