The Hipparcos V magnitude (V = 4.89) and Gaia DR2 parallax (107.6210 +- 0.1636 mas) for the nearby star HD 102365 are consistent with absolute magnitude Mv = 5.05. Given the Hipparcos B-V color (0.664 +- 0.004), this is consistent with the star being a dwarf/main sequence star. Hence the default spectral type listed by SIMBAD (G2.5III ;
1989ApJS...71..245K
) is likely erroneous - the star is clearly not a giant.
I recommend replacing the default spectral type with the more recent estimate by Gray:
G2V ;
2006AJ....132..161G
