GJ 896 C: Despite its designation, this is NOT a nearby star. It is a background interloper in the vicinity of the nearby physical pair GJ 896 AB. The small Gaia DR1 parallax (2.23+-0.34 mas; 2016A&A...595A...2G) and small UCAC5 proper motion (pmRA, pmDec = 11.9+-1.2, 17.5+-1.2 mas/yr) are consistent with a background star.
