"GJ 551 C" is an incorrect designation and should be removed ("GJ 551" is the correct designation). There is not a "GJ 551 A" or "GJ 551 B" since alf Cen A and B are "GJ 559 A" and "GJ 559 B", respectively.
While one sees "GJ 551 C" occasionally in the literature, it is likely because this incorrect designation has been listed in SIMBAD for a long time. Removal would discourage its use.
