This star also = Tyc 8028-00376-1, UCAC2 10092757, UCAC3 080-000163, USNO-B1.0 0399-00000450, PPMX J000438.4-500209, and DENIS-P J000438.4-500209.
In the NLTT and HIC catalogs, there is some confusion of cross-identifications between this low-PM star and two other neighboring stars of similar brightness and high proper motion (CD-50 14115 and GJ 3005). The NLTT Catalog incorrectily identifies NLTT 118 with CD-50 14112 (instead of the high-PM CD-50 14115). The HIC incorrectly identifies HIC 371 with BPM 16002 and lists a high PM similar to that of CD-50 14115. The confusion is also noted in the HIP 371 entry in the Hipparcos Catalog, which has a note stating: "Inconsistency with the Hipparcos Input Catalogue: not the proper motion star L 218-8, Sm 152" (which appear to be two different stars).
I suggest that the identifiers BPM 16002 and [RHG95] 10 be moved to the entry for GJ 3005, along with the Reid et al. 1995 and Weistrop 1980 literature references.
