This star is identified as a white dwarf, but it has a spectral type of M1 on the Simbad main data page and in Reid et al. 1995 (
AJ, 110, 1838
). The 2MASS colors also support this classification.
This star also can be identified with UCAC3 192-294452, CCDM J22559+0545 A, WDS 22560+0546 A, TDSC 62715 A, and LDS 5021 A. The WD 2253+054 identifier probably is more correctly applied to the CPM companion to this star, LP 581-35 (GJ 4305 B). This is supported in some of the sources listed by McCook and Sion, where WD 2253+054 is sometimes cross-identified with LP 581-35.
