This is a cool, very low-luminosity white dwarf (
Ruiz et al. 1986, ApJL 304, L25
) that also is identified with 2MASS J13125624-4728082 (in
Tremblay & Bergeron 2007, ApJ, 657, 1013
) and DENIS-P J131257.2-472807.
In Ruiz et al. 1986, the proper motion in declination appears to be misprinted as -0.58 "/yr. Using the listed proper motion in RA of -2.127 "/yr and a corrected proper motion in declination of -0.058 "/yr yields the 2.128 "/yr total annual proper motion stated by Ruiz et al. and a direction angle of 268.4 degrees (also included in the pCNS3).
The proper motion in Sion et al. 2009 (
AJ, 138, 1681
) appears to use the uncorrected Ruiz proper motion in declination, along with the Ruiz RA proper motion without the minus sign, yielding a total proper motion of 2.204 "/yr with direction angle of 105.252 degrees.
The dates of the corresponding 2MASS and DENIS sources are 4.8627 years apart. The different positions listed in the two catalogs give an approximate total annual PM of 2.2055 "/yr with theta = 268.27 degrees (mu(alpha) = -2.2045 "/yr and mu(delta) = -0.0666 "/yr).
A more accurate J2000.0 position for this object is 13 12 56.47 -47 28 08.1. The FK4 position given on the Simbad basic data page matches that from Ruiz et al. 1986, but the epoch given in that paper is 1985.0, not 1950.0.
