Spectral type given as S in Wright, et al. (
2009MNRAS.400.1413W
) from presence of ZrO bands near 1 mu but as M8 by Bidelman (
1987IBVS.2993....1B
) and as reddened, unbanded by Stephenson (
1992AJ....103..263S
), both from Case near-IR objective-prism plates. (In Stephenson's paper it is star 50, and the star marked in the chart is 38" north of the correct EI Per.) Spectrum variability may explain the large difference in the objective-prism types, but the S classification of Wright, et al. is to be preferred.
