As Yigor said, it is an AGB star, LPV variable, with an IRAS counterpart. According to 2MASS and IRAS data the circumstellar envelope is even not optically thick. The shape of this source in 2MASS images is normal for such a bright object. All data reduction flags in 2MASS are excellent, indicating a point source.
