HD 252023: Appears to be previously unrecognized 'nearby' metal-poor late K dwarf star, with Gaia DR2 parallax placing it at 27.04+-0.08 pc (plx = 36.9884 +- 0.1112) - likely missed in previous surveys due to low proper motion. LAMOST survey has classified it in multiple spectra as K5 (2018yCat.5153....0L) with dwarf-like spectroscopic log(g) estimates (4.683+-0.183, 4.630+-0.154) and [Fe/H] estimates of -0.176+-0.108 -0.432+-0.091. The absolute magnitude (Mv = 7.20 +- 0.03) calculated with ASCC-2.5 Vmag and Gaia DR2 parallax corroborate the status as late K dwarf. Recommend changing default spectral type to:
K5
