WASP-56 is a binary in Washington Double Star Catalog (WDS J12135+2303). The common proper motion and parallax is obvious in Gaia DR2:
WDS J12135+2303A = WASP-56 A = Gaia DR2 4001613814138156416
RA, Dec = 183.36604011963, +23.05568701149 (ICRS, epoch 2015.5)
plx = 3.0865 +- 0.0511 mas
pmRA, pmDec = -36.695, 2.792 (+-0.077, 0.051) mas/yr
WDS J12135+2303B = WASP-56 B = Gaia DR2 4001613818434055680
RA, Dec = 183.36698998003 0.3694 +23.05531435150 0.3202
plx = 4.2902 +- 0.5502 mas
pmRA, pmDec = -36.949, 2.187 (+-0.846, 0.746) mas/yr
sep = 3420.4+-0.5 mas, PA = 113.09 deg
The brightness of the companion is consistent with a mid-M dwarf.
While SIMBAD currently has the star as classified as "Star in Cluster" and it has the alias "Cl* Melotte 111 AV 561", there is no evidence that it belongs to Melotte 111 (Coma Ber). Coma Ber cluster is at ~87 pc with proper motion pmRA, pmDec = -12, -9 mas/yr (e.g. van Leeuwen 2007), but the Gaia DR2 proper motion and parallax for the WASP-56 pair are clearly consistent with being an unrelated background system (~320 pc).
