Mc Cook and Sion
catalog of white dwarfs assigned the name
LP 907-37
to this white dwarf, while the
Palomar-Green catalog of UV-excess stellar object
correctly assigns the name
L 907-37
to this faint blue star which is also
LTT 5410
(page 333 of the ApJS
61
, 1986). The actual star
LP 907-37
is the red dwarf
NLTT 28779
, which was "re-discovered" by
Ruiz et al. (1993)
as
Ruiz 440-150
, and later again presented as "new" by
Wroblewski & Torres
as
WT 1899
. This wrong designation has since widely propagated...
