was identified with
TYC 9151-844-1
, a star ~1.5mag brighter than Luyten's one, with a proper motion close to 0.2"/yr, but with a different orientation (192° while Luyten specifies an orientation of 68°). The correct identification of Luyten's star is
2MASS J02440699-7400401
, a star located ~3'South-following, having the correct proper motion of 0.238"/yr and an orientation of 64° (from UCAC5), and the correct magnitude (G=11.39 in Gaia-DR1)
