Mu Lyr (HR 6903) is known by the proper name "Alathfar" (or variants) in several astronomical references, and it appears to already have been incorporated into SIMBAD. The origin of the name is discussed in Allen (1899). I provide some references that use the name (or its spelling variations). The name should not be confused with "Aladfar", which is attributed to eta Lyr (HR 7298). They share common etymological origin (Allen 1899).
