The SIMBAD position for the X-ray source RX J1541.-3454 is currently not associated with its optical counterpart (which is 27" from the X-ray source).
Through visual comparison of Krautter et al. (1997)'s finder chart for RXJ1541.1-3454 with DSS imagery of the region, I find that the correct optical counterpart is:
2MASS J15411053-3454462 = SPM4 4300047041 = UCAC4 276-080814. The UCAC4 position is (J2000) 235.2939080 -34.9128456.
