I'm looking for identification of CGCS 68 with position accuracy 3 in Alksnis+ 2001. Given by Poulakos (1971) with v=12.4 and to my knowledge with no
identification chart. I considered:
2MASSJ 00295981+5742400 at r=1.552' from the position quoted in SIMBAD,
essentially South, my favorite candidate: a close object at r= 1.515' is absent from 2MASS but seen in GSC2.3. The V,Ic photometry from Droege+ (2007) with
JHK from 2MASS, yielding HC2 with E(B-V)= 0.18 less than 0.43 from redd. maps.
2MASSJ 00295213+5745043, r=1.621' N-W fainter with V=14.5 but redder:
HC4.5 with E(B-V)=0.45 or more likely M1.5g, E(B-V)=0.46.
2MASSJ 00300536+5745479, r= 1.666' N-E with V=13.6, seemingly a K3.5g
star with E(B-V)=0.43.
The issue appears as uncertain. Any information or advice welcome.
